The Human Rights Campaign Foundation recently released its list of companies receiving a perfect score on its annual Corporate Equality Index (CEI). CEI evaluates how major U.S. corporations treat their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors.
Coors Brewing Company has received a perfect score for four years in a row.
“Our goal is to represent the diverse community where we live and work. To meet that goal, we’ve made diversity one of our business priorities,” Douglas Sanborn, manager of GLBT Corporate Relations for Coors Brewing Company, said. “We know our differences strengthen us as a company – and we are both excited and proud to be recognized with a perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index for the fourth year in a row,” Sanborn added.
Since its launch in 2002, the CEI has become the standard by which companies are measured in regard to GLBT diversity and inclusion. In 2004 and 2005 and 2006, Coors received a perfect score of 100 on the report card.
